Navigation & Layout
Sidebar
The main navigation is in the left sidebar.
Typical items:
| Item | Route | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Dashboard | /{tenant}/dashboard | Overview and charts |
| Violations | /{tenant}/violations | Detected violations |
| System Health | /{tenant}/system-health | Locations, devices, alerts |
| Checklists | /{tenant}/checklists | Checklist submissions |
| Enter-Leave Events | /{tenant}/enter-leave-events | Enter/leave events |
| Settings | (expandable) | Configuration sub-pages |
Settings sub-items
Under Settings you may see:
- Locations — Manage locations and their details
- Cameras — Manage cameras (add, edit, view feed)
- Team — Invite and manage tenant users
- Employees — Manage employees (for checklists and enter-leave)
- Checklists — Manage checklist definitions and items
- Models — AI/ML models
- Devices — Bridges and tablets
- Configuration — Tenant-wide settings (e.g. notifications, privacy)
Breadcrumbs
Pages show breadcrumbs at the top (e.g. System Health, Settings > Locations). They reflect the current section and, where relevant, the current page (e.g. a location name). Use them to navigate back or understand where you are.
Tenant context
- The current tenant is implied by the URL (
/{tenant}/...). - If the user has access to multiple tenants, tenant switching is done via the UI (e.g. account or tenant selector). After switching, the app navigates to that tenant’s dashboard or the equivalent page.
Layout structure
- Sidebar — Collapsible; contains main nav and, when applicable, Settings sub-items.
- Top bar — Often includes search, notifications, account, and (if applicable) masquerade/tenant indicator.
- Main content — Rendered to the right of the sidebar. Pages use consistent spacing and responsive grids (e.g. cards, tables, filters).
Responsive behavior
On smaller screens the sidebar may collapse to an icon or become a sheet/drawer. Main content stacks and filters/tables adapt so the app remains usable on mobile and tablets.
